Back on “What’s on my nails”.. I was excited to pen down and share with you pictures of this really glam red color I chose to wear for Diwali /festive/wedding season. This one’s Lakme True wear nail color and is called Siren Red (404). Sure to give you a ‘Lady in Red’ tag. Thought it would be useful to post since we are mostly looking for bright colors in winter.

One thing I wish Lakme colors would have was if they didn’t chip so soon. I think the quality is not so bad but nothing beats OPI in the flow and smoothness it has on nails. But I will share some ‘in’ colors for this season of our very own Indian brand Lakme, Since its readily available anywhere and economical.
This Red is easily wearable with any dress – Indian/ Western. Wear it with salwar kameez, sarees and dresses. Red goes with everything and looks very classy.Wear this color and accessorize your hands with a single Stone ring and if you have a rock – better it is :)

I’ve had a broken nail last 1 week, which I’ve tried to smartly hide in the picture L . I am currently wearing Lakme True wear Nail color – Black (421). And I don’t have the courage to click the pictures of my hands right now they have chipped polish on the thumbs and after 4 days of wearing the color – Lakme loses the shine. One tip – Dark nail paints are easily noticeable when chipped and looks very dirty. Beware of showing your chipped nail paint when you wear a dark shade.
Believe me your hands are one of the first thing that gets noticed. Stay clear of chipped nails.
Chao for now and Stay Polished!

Do you match the color on your toes and nails?

Do you follow the rules when it comes to matching the nail polish color on your toes and nails?

My toes and tips never match for some reason. Maybe cuz I do my manis at home and pedis at the salon and I cant resist trying some new shades that I see at the salon. I end up mismatching. Plus the polish on my toes seems to stay forever. Can never understand how any nail polish brand I wear on my toes..it somehow always stays. Anyway, back to the rules.. Seriously, Do you think its better to have them rather coordinated, like maybe same color family - lighter shade on the tips and darker on the toes? I feel that my toes are whiter than my hands purely because they are less exposed to the sun cuz i drive mostly post noon owing to my office hours. So it always feels better to wear lighter shades on my hands brighter on my toes.

Honestly, its not a bad idea to match your nails and toes. In my opinion, match them when you are preparing for a party or a special event. On other days..who cares!! I love my nails :-) in all colors..
